The University of New Mexico (UNM) Department of Emergency Medicine seeks open-rank physician faculty to join our academic and clinical teams. Faculty will provide high-quality care across affiliated academic and community hospitals while supporting our education, research, and community engagement missions.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• 3 to 5 years of directly related experience (which may include time spent in residency and fellowship).
• State of New Mexico Medical license or equivalent and Federal DEA Certification at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care across academic and community hospital settings while supporting education, research, and community engagement missions.
• Engage in academic involvement aligned with interests, experience, and expertise.
• Contribute to the Department's national recognition in education, research, and community engagement.
