Job summary

The University of New Mexico, EMS Academy, is seeking full-time faculty to join our diverse and talented group of Emergency Medical Services Faculty. This position will serve as a primary faculty member with the EMS Academy for all levels of licensure and continuing education.

Education instruction will primarily occur at the EMS Academy in Albuquerque, with opportunities to support rural, frontier, and tribal endeavors off campus, and to coordinate clinical education within local EMS and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Current Nationally Registered Paramedic.
• Licensed NM Paramedic at time of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of field EMS experience (911 response).
• Knowledge of National EMS Scope of Practice and Education Standards.
• NM Instructor Coordinator Certification or eligible via a similar credential.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary instruction and coordination of EMS courses.
• Evaluate students and manage clinical education components.
• Develop curricula, schedule courses, and assess student outcomes.
• Provide professional development, institutional service, and community relations.
