Job summary

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center invite applications for a Dermatologist to join the Department of Dermatology as Open Rank/Track Faculty. The position offers academic advancement commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will provide patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, participate in teaching residents, fellows, medical students, and contribute to research and innovation within the department and university.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited residency program in dermatology.
• MD or DO with or without other advanced degree (MS, PhD, etc.).
• Board eligible/Board certification in Dermatology.
• Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform medical and surgical dermatologic procedures.
• Direct and participate in quality assessment and improvement activities.
• Opportunity to serve as preceptor and provide bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate & graduate students.
• Serve as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.
• Participate in department, college, medical center and university committees and other service activities.
• Conduct and provide clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.
• Support clinical and translational research activities and innovation.
• Opportunity to serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials.
