Job summary

Learn It Systems is seeking a part-time Licensed School Counselor to work in K-8 classrooms in New York. The clinician will join an interdisciplinary team, provide one-on-one and small-group counseling, and support students with Title I needs.

In this in-person role, you’ll collaborate with parents and school staff, promote engagement, and help deliver high-quality education to students who may require additional assistance.

Qualifications

• Licensure as School Counselor or Social Worker.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Experience with Title I students is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and navigate stairs in a school building.
• Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above head for activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as part of an educational team delivering classroom guidance and promoting student engagement.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group counseling to students.

Responsibilities

In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a supervisor and educators. This team works with school districts to deliver the highest-quality education to students in a small group learning environment.As an Academic School Counselor you will work on a one-on-one basis or in small groups providing classroom guidance and promoting student engagement and performance.

Academic School Counselors will be a part of a team that works with students who qualify for Title I assistance. Responsibilities include consulting and developing rapport with parents, classroom teachers, school principal and other school personnel on a regular basis. Working to keep an open line of communication available at all times and provide local resources to the school staff and parents as needed.

PAY: $35 - $40/hr

Qualifications

IN PERSON

• School counseling licensure required or Social Worker
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred
• Experience working with Title I students a plus
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
• Work location is in a school building where employeewill need to be able to go up and down stairs
• Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head
• Hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer
