Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical Center, within the Dell Medical School's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, seeks a board-certified or eligible psychiatrist to contribute to clinical care, education, and scholarly work in a community-focused setting in Austin.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teaching medical students and residents, and developing innovative models of integrated care in collaboration with Integral Care and other partners.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure before appointment.
• Board certification in psychiatry or board eligibility with a plan to certify within two years.
• Completion of a four-year psychiatry residency program.
• Eligible for credentialing and privileging at UT HealthAustin.
• Eligible for a faculty appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical psychiatric care with a focus on adult patients.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
• Contribute to scholarly activities and potential research within the department.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and local mental health partners.
