Job summary

The Isaac School District is seeking an Academic Coach to collaborate with instructional staff and implement SBR-informed programs aligned with district plans. The role focuses on building teacher capacity through ongoing coaching in curriculum implementation and interventions.

Responsibilities include modeling instruction, data interpretation, and facilitating professional development for diverse staff, including ELL and SPED populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and a valid AZ teacher's certificate.
• Masters or endorsement in the area(s) of position focus (e.g.: reading or math) with SBR knowledge base preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in: Developmental instructional strategies, programs, materials for grades K-8
• Assessing, collecting data and diagnosing needs
• Delivering and evaluating interventions
• Scientifically Based Research and Programs
• Experience with cognitive coaching, peer coaching, and/or mentoring, Coach for Success
• Skilled at collaboration
• Experience in providing professional development to large groups
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with diverse populations (ELLs), Special Education
• Ability to work collaborating with all staff
• Middle School Science preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of scientifically based instructional research.
• Guides instructional staff to use core, supplemental, and intervention programs effectively.
• Models explicit systematic instruction that aligns with SBR.
• Interprets assessment data to inform instructional decisions.
• Collaborates with teachers through modeling, team teaching, and data collection.
• Observes instruction and provides essential feedback to teachers.
• Supports data-driven instruction and analysis of various data types.
• Communicates clearly and facilitates presentations; applies adult learning theory.
• Leads ongoing decisions for curriculum implementation.
