Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX invites an Associate Professor of Clinical Practice in Pathology to join our clinical faculty. The role includes coverage across Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, including frozen sections, cytology, and clinical lab calls, with base duties in League City and cross-coverage across affiliated sites.

The successful candidate will participate in teaching residents, fellows, medical students, and PA students, and will engage in intra- and inter-departmental conferences,

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology.
• Fellowship training or subspecialty experience in Surgical and Cytopathology preferred.
• Active CAP accreditation oversight experience is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Cover Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology services, including frozen sections and cytology.
• Provide cross-coverage across all affiliated UTMB Health sites.
• Participate in teaching residents, fellows, medical students, PA's and PA students.
• Attend and participate in intra- and inter-departmental conferences; perform other duties as assigned.
