The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston is seeking a candidate for a position involving clinical services related to cancer screening and pharmacogenomics. Responsibilities include teaching students and participating in departmental activities.
Applicants must have an MD in a related field. The position offers an opportunity to engage in research and scholarly activities while participating actively in the academic environment.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, performing clinical services to encompass a wide range of clinical responsibilities including consulting with other pathologists and physicians regarding cancer screening, as well as for the Diagnostic Management Team (DMT) for pharmacogenomics. Additionally, the candidate will participate in teaching Pathology Residents, fellows, medical students, Pathology Assistants and Pathology Assistant students, attend and participate in intra- and inter-departmental conferences, pursue scholarly activities to include research, publications and presentations at national and international meetings, participate in departmental and institutional committees, and perform other duties as assigned.
