Job summary

UMass Memorial Medical Group is seeking an Academic Cardiovascular Chest Radiologist to join our growing team in Worcester, MA. The role emphasizes teaching the next generation of radiologists and participation in a residency training program within Radiology.

The successful candidate will be board-certified or eligible in Radiology with fellowship training in Cardiac Imaging (CT and MR). There is a hybrid reading environment with 1–2 days remote and the rest onsite at UMass Memorial Health.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiology.
• Fellowship training or experience in Cardiac Imaging (CT and MR) is required.
• Research interests are encouraged but not required.
• Must be comfortable with all Cardiovascular and Chest Imaging Modalities including Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI and CTA.
• Must hold an MD or DO degree and qualify for a Massachusetts license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic cardiovascular chest imaging within a team of radiologists.
• Participate in teaching and training within the residency program.
• Engage in ongoing clinical trials and AI initiatives within Radiology.

UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks diagnostic Cardiovascular Chest Imager to join our growing team. Our competitive compensation and benefits package places us as your top choice in the region.

Key Highlights

• We are comprised of ~100 Radiologists, 28 residents, and 10 fellows as well as approximately 25 research faculty and 5 full-time educators, providing comprehensive imaging services through a fully integrated health care system in central Massachusetts.
• We are the primary academic medical center for UMass Chan Medical School.
• Our department has state-of-the-art imaging equipment and a fully integrated IT infrastructure EMR (EPIC), PACS, PS-1 and has been at the forefront of implementation of a wide range of AI algorithms.
• There are numerous opportunities to pursue individual interests in medical student education, Health Services or basic science research and AI, supported by a robust Radiology clinical trials office and image processing core labs.
• This position will be embedded in our training program with our diagnostic residency. We are in the process of developing a fellowship. A passion for teaching the next generation of radiologists is a must.
• We offer a hybrid reading environment to include 1-2 days remote and the remaining time onsite.
