Hartford HealthCare’s Hartford Hospital Division of Cardiology invites a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist with extensive echocardiography skills and training in MRI/CT and nuclear cardiology. This academic faculty position emphasizes teaching, inpatient rounding, and fellow education within a large quaternary care system.

Ideal candidates will perform TEEs, interpret echoes, and contribute across imaging modalities while engaging in leadership and scholarly activities within the

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiology with academic focus.
  • Advanced training or significant experience in echocardiography, including TEEs.
  • Additional imaging expertise in nuclear cardiology, cardiac MRI, and CT.
  • Involvement in fellowship education and inpatient rounding as part of an academic appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret echocardiograms and TEEs for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Participate in inpatient rounding and medical education of fellows.
  • Collaborate within Hartford HealthCare’s Heart & Vascular Institute and academic faculty.
  • Engage in imaging across nuclear cardiology, MRI, and CT as needed.

Academic Cardiology & Advanced Imaging Opportunity

The Division of Cardiology at Hartford Hospital is seeking a highly skilled, board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist with significant experience/training in echocardiography and additional training in MRI, CT, and or/nuclear cardiology. This faculty appointment is for an academic position with the hospital-employed group. Hartford Hospital is a large quaternary care facility at the center of a large and growing health care system in Connecticut.

Applicants should be skilled at echo interpretation and performing TEEs, as well as possessing advanced training or experience in echocardiography.

Additional imaging skills in nuclear cardiology, cardiac MRI, and CT are required.

The physician would be expected to participate in the inpatient rounding schedule and fellow education.
