Job summary

MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC seeks an Academic Cardiologist with emphasis on advanced cardiac imaging to join MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute. You will balance clinical care with teaching, research, and multi-modality imaging leadership in a premier academic center.

The role focuses on Echocardiography, CCT, and CMR, with opportunities to mentor fellows and medical students, participate in clinical studies, and contribute to a growing registry and publications

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Formal fellowship training in Advanced Cardiac Imaging with proficiency in Echocardiography, CCT and CMR.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and oversee multi-modality cardiac imaging (TTE/TEE, CCT, CMR).
• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Teach and mentor cardiovascular disease fellows, advanced imaging fellows, and medical students; academic appointment commensurate with experience.
• Participate in clinical research, registries, and publications.
