Job Overview

The DIU Academic Affairs Training Facilitator will work with DIU Dean of Academic Affairs to develop appropriate training opportunities for faculty members. He or she will be available to assist the Dean of Academic Affairs in creating faculty resource materials.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and facilitate faculty training opportunities at least monthly
  • Become familiar with relevant institutional academic policies and procedures
  • Collects, analyzes, and distributes relevant data regarding faculty needs, preferences, and performance for use in the development of training and institutional decisions.
  • Understand the programs, courses, graduation requirements, paperwork and other pertinent details related to DIU’s academic goals for DIU’s students
  • Train and work with the Academic Advisers so that they understand the programs, courses, policies, graduation requirements, paperwork and other pertinent details that they will need to advise DIU’s students
  • Interact with faculty and administrators to enhance advising programs of students.

  • Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree is required

  • Facility in using computers and software systems and emerging technology platforms.
  • Ability to learn and maintain current knowledge of complex programs requirements, policies and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty and administrators
  • Ability to design and lead training in both group and individual settings
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Hours
  • Part-time. Approximately 20 hours or less per week within normal working hours which are 9-5, Monday through Friday. The flexibility of hours worked may vary from week to week.
Physical Requirements

Good physical health is required. The position requires occasional, moderate physical effort.
