Florida Gulf Coast University seeks an Academic Advisor I to guide students in Lutgert College of Business and the Daveler & Kauanui School of Entrepreneurship. You will help with academic plans, major choice, and graduation progress, while promoting campus resources and advising technology.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree and has strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with experience using advising tools and delivering programming to students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
• Experience using advising and student-progress software is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of student development theories and advising models.

Responsabilités

• Provides academic and personal development guidance in a collaborative mentoring environment.
• Develops student education plans to support timely graduation and major selection.
• Performs one-on-one and group advising, reviews degree requirements and prerequisites.
• Assists students with FGCU advising technology (Degree Works) and campus resources.
• Prepares orientation materials and supports Eagle View Orientation activities.
