The role guides students through degree requirements and university policies to support academic success and timely degree progression. The advisor also supports recruitment, retention, enrollment management, and course scheduling, and reports directly to the Department Chairperson.

• Meet with students through scheduled appointments and walk-in advising sessions
• Advise and support transfer students through the Transfer Registration Program

• Coordinate course scheduling and prepare reports on classroom utilization, faculty course loads, and enrollment by major
• Represent the department at recruitment events such as University Open Houses, Redbird Receptions, and Preview events

• Bachelor's degree and professional advising experience or a demonstrated equivalent
• Salary of $51,000 to $55,000 per year, plus tuition waiver, retirement, and insurance benefits
• On-campus role Monday through Friday, 8 to 4:30, with occasional evening or weekend work
