Job summary

University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks an addiction psychiatrist to lead a new addiction psychiatry fellowship. The role includes developing outpatient and community-based services, guiding clinical care, and advancing education, scholarship, and outreach.

The faculty member will supervise residents and medical students, collaborate with community partners, and align activities with departmental mission. Salary range is competitive.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from LCME/AACOM-accredited medical school.
• Graduate of an ACGME-approved addiction psychiatry fellowship.
• Licensed or license-eligible in Illinois.
• ABPN board-certified in adult and addiction psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Develop an ACGME-accredited addiction psychiatry fellowship and oversee the program.
• Administer the fellowship: operations, teaching, scholarship, recruitment and faculty development.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise residents and medical students.
• Collaborate with the department and community partners on education and outreach.
• Engage in academic duties appropriate to rank and position.
