Job summary

Trump National Golf Club Jupiter is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems for our facilities.

The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent, Florida HVAC certification and EPA certification, plus 3–5 years of related experience; strong safety practices and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associated degree or equivalent in related field; or 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
• State of Florida HVAC certification; EPA certification.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Inspects current HVAC and refrigeration systems for effectiveness and safety.
• Tests HVAC system to ensure proper air quality and temperature.
• Investigates problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Installs new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems as required.
• Keeps records of HVAC system maintenance and maintains inventory of equipment and parts.

Summary: Installs, maintains and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems that control the temperature and air quality for residential and commercial equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Inspects current heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration systems for effectiveness and safety.
• Tests HVAC system to ensure proper air quality and temperature.
• Investigates problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in HVAC and refrigeration systems including but not limited to compressors, control valves, exhaust and ventilation fans, air handler units, electronic and pneumatic controls, chillers and condensing towers, etc.
• Performs oiling, belt adjustment, cleaning of equipment, greasing, and other specific preventive maintenance work to increase longevity.
• Installs new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems as required.
• Installs, connects and adjusts thermostats.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests.
• Keeps records of HVAC system maintenance.
• Maintains accurate inventory of all equipment and parts.
• Determines service requirements by applying technical skills and experience, including system operations and preventive maintenance experience.
• Performs other general maintenance duties when needed.
• Adheres to all Club policies, procedures and safety protocols.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in related field; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: State of Florida HVAC certification. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification. Valid Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR).

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
