Job summary

FWG Solutions is seeking an AC&R Technician to manage on-base air conditioning and refrigeration units in support of the LCAC program for the U.S. Navy.

The role requires five to seven years of relevant experience, an active Secret clearance, AC&R training, EPA 608, and the ability to work onsite with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in similar position.
• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain interim clearance.
• High School Diploma required.
• AC&R training and EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
• EPA Section 608, as applicable.
• Five to seven years of experience in similar position.
• Experience and training in safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, inspections, etc., on all air conditioning and refrigeration units
• Provide cross-sectional support to the General Mechanical maintenance staff as needed
• Perform routine work with limited to no supervision or instruction
• Ability to take on new assignments with general instructions
• Apply industry knowledge to various programs and projects ensuring successful completion
• Use knowledge of industry standard policies, procedures and practical applications to complete job tasks
• Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned

This position is part of the LCAC 100 Program

The AC&R Technician is responsible for the operations of all air conditioning and refrigeration units on base in support of the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, inspections, etc., on all air conditioning and refrigeration units

Education

Licenses & Certifications

• Ability to install, assemble, and configure new mechanical or refrigeration systems
• Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and fix issues
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with general maintenance staff
• Ability to work with various levels of personnel
• Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required
