Job summary

ABX Air, Inc. is seeking a Line Maintenance Representative to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft and related equipment in compliance with manuals and FAA regulations.

The role requires travel for regional station coverage, on-call availability, and the ability to operate outdoors in all weather. You will work with multiple departments, maintain manuals and inventory, and assist with audits.

Qualifications

  • Must have HSD/GED.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR background check.
  • A&P License is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft.
  • Ability to troubleshoot aircraft systems independently.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and evaluate structural damage.
  • Ability to travel on company aircraft as required.
  • Work outdoors in adverse conditions and at heights up to 60 ft.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs and wear respirator/safety equipment when indicated.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications and other line maintenance of aircraft and related equipment.
  • Communicate with all departments within the company.
  • Travel regionally for station coverage, training and maintenance support.
  • Work outdoors in all weather and be on-call as needed.
  • Assist Airport Planning/Properties with property and environmental issues.
  • Maintain station manuals, parts and tooling inventory.
  • Deicing, snow removal, GSE maintenance, MXI work as needed.
  • Travel regionally to verify stations pass FAA and QA audits.
  • Train new team members on paperwork, MXI, manuals, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Line Maintenance Representative will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications and other line maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment in accordance with specified manuals, procedures and FAA regulations; communicate with all departments within the company; travel for station coverage, training and other maintenance support: work outside in all types of weather; on-call as needed; assist Airport Planning/Properties with property and environmental issues; maintain station manuals, parts and tooling inventory; as needed aircraft deicing, snow removal, GSE maintenance, MXI work; travel regionally to verify stations will pass FAA and QA audits; travel regionally to train new team members on paperwork, MXI, manuals, etc.; perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements


  • Must have HSD/GED

  • Valid driver's license and the ability to successfully pass an MVR background check

  • A&P License

  • 2 years experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft

  • ability to independently troubleshoot aircraft systems

  • aircraft systems and technical knowledge, concentrating on aircraft type at the station applying for

  • ability to interpret wiring diagrams and evaluate structural damage

  • ability to work unsupervised

  • good interpersonal skills, communication written and verbal

  • ability to travel on company aircraft as required

  • ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces

  • wear respirator/safety protective equipment as indicated

  • lift objects weighing various amounts up to 75 lbs.

  • perform work at heights up to 60 ft.

  • ability to obtain SIDA Badge (Federally required background to obtain access to airports, aircraft and air cargo)


Preferred Skills


  • 4 years experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft

  • 2 years hands-on line maintenance experience on type aircraft operated by ABX

  • 757/767 experience


Licenses & Certifications

Aircraft maint duties (preferred)
