Job summary

ABX Air, Inc. is seeking an AC Tech (Line Maintenance) to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft and components in line with FAA regulations.

The role involves travel for station coverage, training, and support, and requires work outdoors in all weather and occasional on-call duties. Qualified candidates will hold an A&P license and a GED/HSD, with at least 2 years of experience across all phases of commercial transport aircraft and the ability to troubleshoot

Qualifications

• Must have HSD/GED.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to pass an MVR background check.
• A&P License.
• 2 years experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot aircraft systems.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and evaluate structural damage.
• Ability to travel on company aircraft as required.
• Ability to obtain SIDA Badge (FAA security requirement).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications and other line maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment in accordance with manuals and FAA regulations.
• Communicate with all departments within the company; travel regionally for station coverage and training.
• Assist with deicing, snow removal, GSE maintenance, MXI work and regional audits.
• Travel regionally to verify stations pass FAA and QA audits; train new team members on paperwork and manuals.

Job description

The AC Tech (Line Maintenance) will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications and other line maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment in accordance with specified manuals, procedures and FAA regulations; communicate with all departments within the company; travel for station coverage, training and other maintenance support: work outside in all types of weather; on‑call as needed; assist Airport Planning/Properties with property and environmental issues; maintain station manuals, parts and tooling inventory; as needed aircraft deicing, snow removal, GSE maintenance, MXI work; travel regionally to verify stations will pass FAA and QA audits; travel regionally to train new team members on paperwork, MXI, manuals, etc.; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have HSD/GED
• Valid driver's license and the ability to successfully pass an MVR background check
• A&P License
• 2 years experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft

Preferred Skills

• 4 years experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft
• 2 years hands‑on line maintenance experience on type aircraft operated by ABX
• 757/767 experience
