Job summary

ABX Line Maintenance Representative in Seattle, WA is responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs and line maintenance of aircraft and related equipment in accordance with manuals and FAA regulations. You will travel regionally for station coverage and training, work outdoors in all weather, and be on-call as needed.

Required: A&P license, HS diploma or GED, 2 years’ experience on commercial aircraft, ability to troubleshoot, read wiring diagrams, lift up to 75 lbs, and obtain a SIDA badge.

Qualifications

  • Must have HS Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR background check.
  • A&P license required.
  • 2 years of experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot aircraft systems.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and evaluate structural damage.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and travel as needed.
  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, integrity, cooperation and professionalism.
  • Ability to travel on company aircraft as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform work at heights.
  • Must wear respirator/safety equipment as indicated.
  • Ability to obtain SIDA badge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications and line maintenance on aircraft and related equipment.
  • Communicate with all departments and support FAA regulatory compliance.
  • Travel regionally for station coverage and training; assist with airport planning and environmental issues.
  • Maintain station manuals, parts and tooling inventory; assist with deicing, snow removal and MXI work.
  • Work outdoors in all weather, on-call as needed; travel on company aircraft as required.

Description

The Line Maintenance Representative will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications and other line maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment in accordance with specified manuals, procedures and FAA regulations; communicate with all departments within the company; travel for station coverage, training and other maintenance support: work outside in all types of weather; on-call as needed; assist Airport Planning/Properties with property and environmental issues; maintain station manuals, parts and tooling inventory; as needed aircraft deicing, snow removal, GSE maintenance, MXI work; travel regionally to verify stations will pass FAA and QA audits; travel regionally to train new team members on paperwork, MXI, manuals, etc.; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have HSD/GED

Preferred Skills:

  • 4 years experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft
  • 2 years hands-on line maintenance experience on type aircraft operated by ABX
  • 757/767 experience
