The Work

The Abundance Elected Network is a nationwide program that builds community and advances abundance policy outcomes by local elected officials via a network, programming, tools, and a fellowship. We are seeking a Program Coordinator to work with the Program Manager and Managing Partner on supporting fall events. This is a six month contract position.

The Role

Abundance Elected is looking for an organized, proactive Program Coordinator to support the events and operations of the elected network. This is a supporting role— you'll work closely with the Program Manager and Managing Partner to support fall events, program applications and selection process, and other support functions for the department. We are a startup and move very quickly; you must be flexible and able to change course quickly, while maintaining a high level of execution.

Key Responsibilities
Member & Fellow Engagement
  • Support fellow application process and selection.
  • Handle scheduling and logistics for member events, both in-person and virtual.
  • Support communication to members and follow-up with members as directed.
Programming & Events
  • Coordinate speaker scheduling logistics, including calendar coordination with speaker handlers.
  • Provide technical support of virtual events, including administrative preparation (run of show).
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for conference planning and program events.
  • Provide onsite support for in-person events December 8–12.
  • Work with the Program Manager on the after-event close-out.
Communications
  • Draft internal program communications related to scheduling, upcoming events, and participant updates.
  • Support the Executive Director and Program Manager in gathering information for member communications and managing the communication schedule.
Operations & Systems
  • Update project plan process and manage coordination of tasks with team.
  • Support budget tracking by monitoring expenditures and flagging variances to the Program Manager.
  • Collect and organize exit ticket and survey data to inform program improvements.
New Programming
  • Assist in testing and iterating on new program components as directed.
  • Document learnings, feedback, and outcomes to support program development decisions.
What You Bring
Must haves:
  • 5 years of experience in program coordination, operations, or project support and event management—ideally in a nonprofit, advocacy, or civic/government-adjacent environment.
  • Event coordinator experience, including both planning and onsite execution. Must be able to anticipate event needs onsite and make decisions as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment across multiple time zones.
  • Strong written communication skills; able to draft clear, professional communications for a range of audiences.
  • Understanding and experience using Claude LLM.
  • Experience with relevant tools: Airtable, Google Suite, Canva, WhatsApp, Attio, Asana.
  • Must be willing to travel for conferences (Washington, D.C. in December).
Nice to haves:
  • Familiarity with WordPress, ActiveCampaign, or Zapier; exposure to local government, elected office staff, or civic organizations.
  • Interest in government, policy, and nonprofit work.

Abundance Network is an equal opportunity employer. We believe that building a 21st-century government starts with building an inclusive and equitable workplace. We strongly encourage candidates of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities to apply!

Working With Us

This is a six-month contract reporting directly to Giselle Hale, Managing Partner. You'll also collaborate closely with Alicia Ariatti, Program Manager.

We’re a small, fast-moving team that builds programs and infrastructure from the ground up. We value humility, curiosity, and an outcomes-focused mindset—and we trust each other to lead.
