Job summary

Mizuho Americas is seeking an Associate on the ABS Origination team in New York. The role focuses on the origination, marketing, and execution of primary market ABS offerings for US clients, collaborating with coverage, advisory, and product bankers across asset classes.

You will engage in deal pitches, client presentations, and analytics, developing materials for rating agencies and investors while strengthening ABS modelling and Excel/Powe rPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with asset-backed securitization origination and execution.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to develop client materials.
• Comfort working across multidisciplinary teams to support deal execution.

Responsibilities

• Support ABS new issue origination and execution processes for clients.
• Provide updates on market pricing, news, and trends affecting access to markets.
• Collaborate with trading and syndicate desks on rate views and deal execution.
• Prepare client presentations and other materials.
• Perform collateral analysis using Excel, Intex, CAS, and VBA on asset pools.
• Develop rating agency materials to support transaction ratings.
• Review structuring models and transaction analytics.
• Develop materials for sales and syndication processes.
• Respond to investor inquiries and aggregate feedback.
• Conduct company, industry and asset research.
• Develop advanced Excel, PowerPoint and ABS modelling skills.
• Participate in client meetings.
