Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate production information both in writing and verbally.
• Mathematical ability: add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10s and 100s.

Responsibilities

• Operate abrasive cutoff machines to cut castings, bars stock and revert metal.
• Check proper cutoff with gauges or rulers.
• Move castings and materials between work areas to maintain workflow.
• Adjust holding fixtures and replace abrasive wheels or blades as needed.
• Sign off routing cards and report faults to foreperson.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other duties as directed by the foreperson.
