Job summary

Mental Health Association - Western MA is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to create a safe, supportive living environment for adults with acquired brain injuries. Qualifications

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Willingness to obtain certifications in MAP, CPR, and first aid.
• Six months of relevant experience preferred, especially with ABI or mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Communicate respectfully with participants to promote self-esteem, empowerment, and independence.
• Assist with personal care, daily routines, meal preparation, and support with finances and transportation.
• Facilitate access to community resources and teach self-advocacy skills.
• Complete required documentation, track progress, and report incidents or concerns promptly.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility, participate in team meetings, and attend trainings.
• Demonstrate professionalism and collaborate with the team to support program goals.
