Job Summary
Memorial Hermann TMC seeks an enthusiastic Clinical Pharmacist to join our Abdominal Transplant Outpatient Clinic team. The primary role will be in the abdominal transplant clinic with some inpatient responsibilities. The position supports post-transplant patients by providing education, consulting with providers to optimize medication regimens, and other duties as required.
PGY2 Solid organ transplant residency preferred or equivalent work experience (at least 5 years in the transplant setting).
Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays.
The position develops, implements, and monitors clinical pharmacy programs to improve patient care, with a focus on cost reduction; provides clinical services to patients and staff; interacts with medical staff on drug utilization and cost containment. May assist in supervising department staff in consultation with the Director and/or Pharmacy Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science with equivalent experience, clinically oriented Master of Science, or Doctorate of Pharmacy; completion of ASHP accredited residency or fellowship, or demonstrated equivalent experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Licensure in Texas; Pharmacy Sterile Product certification through an in-house or accredited program if appropriate.
