Job summary

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at UCSF is seeking an Abdominal Imaging Radiologist for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

Responsibilities include providing clinical services primarily at UCSF Moffitt/Long Hospital with additional work at other UCSF Health and affiliated sites; supervising trainees

Qualifications

• MD degree (or equivalent).
• Ability or eligibility to practice medicine in California.
• Fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging.
• Board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or ABR Alternate Pathway.
• Curriculum Vitae must list current and/or pending qualifications (board eligibility/certification, medical licensure, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical abdominal imaging services at UCSF facilities.
• Demonstrate commitment to building an academic career and to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research.
• Supervise trainees and provide teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Maintain clinical expertise in all areas of abdominal imaging: CT, MRI, ultrasound, biopsies; obstetric ultrasound is valuable.

Position

• Supervise trainees and provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Maintain clinical expertise in all areas of abdominal imaging, including diagnostic CT, MRI, ultrasound, and image-guided biopsies. Experience or interest in obstetric ultrasound is an additional valuable skill.

• Fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging.
• Board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or prepared to enter into the ABR Alternate Pathway.

Benefits & Compensation

The Department offers faculty salaries that are highly competitive with national radiology benchmarks. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700–393,200, based on rank and step at appointment. Faculty also receive the University of California comprehensive health and retirement benefit packages.
