Job summary

Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking an ABC Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO) to provide comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic patient care in an outpatient clinical setting.

The role includes gait analysis, device fitting, and collaboration with physicians, therapists, and rehab teams while ensuring compliance with ABC certification standards, Medicare guidelines, and state regulations.

Qualifications

• ABC certification required and active licensure/eligibility in the relevant state.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and clinical training.
• Solid understanding of biomechanics, anatomy, prosthetic/orthotic components, and rehabilitation principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality prosthetic and orthotic patient care in line with ABC scope and regulatory standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, gait analysis, and functional assessments.
• Design, fit, align, adjust and troubleshoot devices for comfort and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use, wear schedules, and rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to coordinate plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support reimbursement and compliance.
• Develop relationships with referral sources to support clinic growth.
• Ensure services meet licensure, certification, OSHA, and payer guidelines.
• Mentor support staff and contribute to a collaborative clinic culture.
