Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries in Kansas City, MO seeks an Abbey Mill Operator to set up and run the Abbey steel tube mill, ensuring production, quality and safety targets are met. You will lead mill teammates, monitor tubing quality and document all production activities in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

This role requires practical manufacturing experience, strong mechanical skills, and vigilance in quality control.

Competenze

• Experience in a manufacturing or mill setting is preferred.
• Ability to read micrometers, pi tape and measurement tools.
• Basic math and record-keeping skills.

Mansioni

• Set up and operate the Abbey steel tube mill to meet production requirements.
• Lead and support Abbey Mill team to achieve production goals.
• Monitor tubing quality and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Generate and apply tags to all manufactured bundles.
• Complete daily production records and time sheets accurately.
• Ensure welder micrometer readings are documented with production records.
• Perform safe mill changeovers and verify setups with measurement tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in safety meetings.
