Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries in Kansas City, MO, seeks an Abbey Mill Operator to set up and run the Abbey steel tube mill, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met. The role provides direction to mill team members and emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing or mill operating experience, reads micrometers and hand tools, and commits to safety.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or mill operating experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to read and use micrometers, pi tape, levels, and tape measures.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and ground-operated machinery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Abbey steel tube mill to meet production requirements.
• Lead and support Abbey Mill team members to achieve production goals.
• Monitor tubing quality and implement corrective actions when issues arise.
• Perform mill changeovers safely and efficiently.
• Submit detailed work orders for equipment issues.
