Job summary
Veolia Environnement seeks a Control Automation Engineer to design, program, and maintain our facility's automated control systems, with expert responsibility for ABB 800xA DCS, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA. You will bridge operations, maintenance and IT to drive continuous improvement and rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
You will work on system maintenance, DCS/PLC programming, network integration using OPC DA/UA, Ethernet/IP, Profinet and Modbus, and you will update schematics, P&IDs and
Qualifications
- Hands-on ABB 800xA DCS programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC DA/UA.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
- Strong problem solving and downtime reduction.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily technical support for automated equipment.
- Develop and modify control logic for upgrades.
- Maintain networks and data integration across systems.
- Update drawings and documentation.
- Implement preventive maintenance and backup procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance and project teams.
- Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA/NFPA 70E.
