Job Summary

The Abatement Technician must be able to work in compliance on asbestos abatement and industrial maintenance projects. Adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities

1. Execute field work involved in asbestos abatement projects under supervision.
2. Complete all job-specific paperwork, including Timesheets, Daily Work Reports, Driver’s Logs, and Safety Meeting Forms.
3. Work within project scope and adhere to contract documents, schedules, and policies.
4. Work safely during all job duties.
5. Perform work in confined or varying environments, including squatting and crawling.
6. Follow directions, read and understand English, and interpret safety labels and plans.
7. Safely operate and inspect company vehicles.
8. Be prepared for out-of-town travel for extended periods.
9. Comply with safety standards of the company and clients.
10. Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions and environments that may involve hazards like chemicals, heights, or loud noises.
11. Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
12. Maintain a clean-shaven appearance to ensure respirator seal integrity.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED, with 2-3 years' experience in abatement projects.
2. Experience in related fields like emergency response or construction is preferred.
3. Virginia abatement license and 32-hour Abatement Worker's Certification required.
4. Valid driver’s license; TWIC and OSHA 40-HR HAZWOPER, Confined Space, and Lead Awareness certifications are preferred.
5. Successful background and drug screening are mandatory.
