Job summary

Damar East Chicago is seeking an Intensive Autism Technician for full-time hours at 4840 Grasselli St. The role provides direct ABA-based services to children with autism and supports the treatment team in data collection and functional assessments.

Responsibilities include natural environment training, skills-based treatment, and collaboration with parents, schools, and medical personnel. Requires high school diploma; 21+; Indiana driver’s license; TCI and CPR certifications or ability to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• ABA therapy experience and/or experience working with children with autism is preferred but not required.
• Ability to use an iPad and computer.
• Must have or be able to obtain Therapeutic Crises Intervention (TCI) Certification.
• Must have or be able to obtain CPR Certification.
• Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record.
• Be clear of felony convictions or disqualifying criminal convictions.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to children diagnosed with Autism using ABA principles.
• Participate in Behavior Skills Training and assist during Practical Functional Assessments.
• Perform natural environment training and data collection.
• Support individuals with Autism residing at Damar North and assist the treatment team.
• Maintain neat, chronological documentation of goals and behaviors.
