Job summary

Bierman Autism Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist in Parsippany, NJ to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-12. The role emphasizes play-based learning, data collection, and collaboration with BCBA supervision.

Training and advancement opportunities are a core part of our mission to grow clinicians and leaders within the organization. Candidates should have an active RBT or be able to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must hold active RBT certification or obtain within 90 days and maintain the certification throughout employment.
• Must be able to lift and carry clients weighing at least 30 pounds.
• Must be able to restrain/hold/transport and use quick body movements as indicated by the Behavior Support Plan.
• Must be able to attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting and dressing; must record data and therapy notes.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 therapy with clients.
• Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
• Collect and record data and write therapy notes for each session.
• Communicate with parents/caregivers regarding client progress (with BCBA guidance).
• Assist BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials.
• Maintain and acquire functional knowledge by attending required trainings and BACB guidelines.
• Work towards becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) if not already.
