Job summary

Brennan Middle School in Attleboro, MA is seeking a Special Education ABA Specialist to support the Insights Program. Start date is immediate with a highly structured ABA-focused environment for social, communication, and academic skill development.

Under supervision of certified staff, you will assist students in meeting goals, implement de-escalation strategies, collect progress data, and collaborate with a diverse team to maximize participation and success.

Qualifications

• 2 years college credits or equivalent or passing score of the ParaPro Test.
• Prior experience working with students with autism and developmental delays preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician preferred.
• Safety Care trained preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements interventions and de-escalation strategies with students who display significant behavioral issues within the school setting.
• Collect and accurately record behavioral, social, academic, and other data as required per students' goals and programming.
• Collaborates with staff to foster student success.
• Assist students with activities of daily living including toileting.
• Implements positive behavior support plans and collects data on student progress.
• Assists students in non-instructional areas such as supervising lunch programs, bus duty, corridor, self-care, and related tasks.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisors.
