Job summary

Istss in Massachusetts is hiring Teacher's Aides and Educational Instructional Aides for ESY/Summer School 2026, with opportunities to continue into the 2026/2027 academic year. Openings are available across Preschool to High School settings, offering hands-on classroom experience and a chance to coach student growth in a collaborative school team.

Positions follow school-year hours and a Summer School schedule, with Monday through Friday during regular hours and summer part-time hours; pay

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
ParaPro Certification and/or Associate's Degree preferred.
Experience working with children or students in a school/classroom setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.
Experience supporting students with special needs, behavioral support, or emotional development is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Support classroom teachers with daily lessons, activities, and instructional support.
Help create and maintain a structured, organized, and student-centered classroom environment.
Assist students academically, socially, and behaviorally throughout the school day.
Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed, including working with students with special needs or behavioral/emotional challenges.
Encourage student participation, confidence, and independence.
Communicate student progress and concerns with teachers and staff as appropriate.
