Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Special Education and Student Services Program Director for ABA to lead and monitor district-wide ABA interventions for students K0-12+. You will supervise ABA Specialists, provide direct oversight, and ensure data-based decision making across educational environments.

You will collaborate with school leaders and clinical staff, deliver professional development, and ensure compliant services including assessments, IEPs, and family resources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Education, Psychology or a related field.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
• Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst through the state of Massachusetts.
• At least two years experience developing and supervising ABA intervention programs.
• At least two years experience supervising direct service providers.
• Experience with standardized assessments, Functional Behavior Assessments, data collection and report writing.
• Experience in Behavior Support Plans and Individualized Curriculum Plans (DTT, task analysis, incidental teaching strategies).
• Knowledge of Special Education Law and IEP process.
• Strong written and oral communication with students, families, teachers and administrators.
• Demonstrated growth toward cultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Completing evaluations for students to determine eligibility for ABA services.
• Attending Annual Reviews to determine ongoing services.
• Planning and conducting district-wide professional development for ABA personnel.
• Hiring, onboarding, supervising, and evaluating ABA Specialists across schools.
• Reviewing Annual Reviews and Progress Reports throughout the year.
• Analyzing data and assisting staff in curriculum modifications weekly.
• Developing student-specific management guidelines and instructional schedules.
• Collaborating with school leaders and clinical staff to ensure quality intervention.
• Sharing family resources including community supports and ABA information.
• Participating in ABA Strand Site Visit Walk-Throughs and growth initiatives.
• Responding to behavioral crises and classroom issues.
• Maintaining privacy of student information per HIPAA.
• Performing duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Supporting ESY evaluations and resources during summer.
