Job summary

Job Details

Job Type: Full-Time ABA Instructor

Job Hours: Mon through Thurs 8:15am-4:15pm; Fri 8:15am-3:00pm

Job Location: Manhattan, NY

Job Compensation: $40,000-$43,000 based on education, experience, and certifications

  • Direct teaching of skills to students and data collection on responses
  • Daily graphing and analysis of data for multiple students while monitoring learning trends
  • Maintaining and promoting the generalization of learned skills
  • Following students’ behavior intervention plans and reporting all observations of student behavior to the teacher
  • Providing feedback and data to the teacher regarding social skills opportunities and parent concerns
  • Preparing and organizing teaching materials and teaching settings daily
  • Engage and use Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) holds/transport or disengagement tactics for students during behavioral episodes. This may mean physically intervening after being trained thoroughly, to help deescalate children when they become a danger to themselves or others.
  • Completing other classroom duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (there are a limited number of positions available to those without a bachelor’s degree)
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Energetic, can-do attitude and a willingness to collaborate with teachers, related service providers, parents, and other faculty
