Job summary

Achieving True Self is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support children with autism across home, school, or community settings. No college degree required, with paid training provided from day one.

You will work under a supervising clinician, implement individualized plans, collect progress data, and help teach essential communication and daily living skills in a compassionate, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (minimum).
• 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and your own reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to children with autism and related developmental needs using evidence-based strategies.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by a supervising clinician.
• Teach communication, social, daily living, and behavioral skills in home, school, or community settings.
• Collect data on client progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with clients and their families.
• Collaborate with a clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Position: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

• Hourly Pay: $18-24/hr for direct billable hours (based on experience)
• Training, onboarding, and drive time: Paid at $12.50/hr
• Paid RBT certification training provided within your first month of employment

What We’re Looking For?

• High school diploma, or GED (minimum) and 18+ years old.
• Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities (or related coursework).
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and your own reliable vehicle is required.This is not a position where rideshare or public transportation can be used.
• Candidates with evening/after-school availability preferred (sessions typically 2–6 hours, Monday–Friday).
• General knowledge of computer systems, including Windows and Google products.
