Location: Burnsville, MN 55306 • Position: Full-Time/Part-Time • Salary: $20.00 - $33.12 per hour • Shift: Day (Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm) • Category: Health Care

Join us as a Behavior Therapist and be part of an amazing team dedicated to improving the lives of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through early intensive therapies. Partners offers both full‑time and part‑time positions, working Monday‑Friday between 8:00am–5:00pm.

Partners In Excellence is a premier autism therapy center providing services to children in a healthcare setting. We use simulated environments that reflect real‑life situations, enabling children to work on their skills one‑on‑one or in small groups with trained behavior therapists. Through a paid two‑week premiere training program you will acquire the skills needed to apply ABA techniques and implement targeted curriculum using a variety of teaching techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Work under supervision to provide direct therapy to 4-6 clients following treatment plans to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Document therapy services accurately and timely (daily treatment notes, data collection, parent and Partners communication, and client information).
  • Read written treatment directions, collect numeric data, and write progress notes.
  • Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) and comply with Partners’ Privacy Policies and HIPAA procedures; report any violations.
  • Complete required technical training and participate in ongoing training opportunities.
  • Redirect, intervene, observe, and monitor client behaviors.
  • Problem‑solve and make appropriate decisions.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills to be playful, enthusiastic, and energetic in therapy.
  • Work with a team and accept corrective feedback, complying with supervisory direction.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, co‑workers, and supervisors.
  • Use good judgment when dealing with clients, parents, and co‑workers.
  • Show dependability and consistency in therapy and other job‑related activities.
  • Communicate daily progress and client concerns to appropriate staff members.
  • Organize and clean client space and equipment.
  • Assist in keeping the facility safe, organized, sanitary, and guide others.
  • Assist clients with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, food, nutrition, and diet needs.
  • Lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Attend and participate in meetings.
  • Report all safety concerns to the Center Manager or direct supervisor.
  • Be assigned to an area or areas (POD) at the center‑based programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully passed initial and subsequent background checks (no history of felonies, substantiated client maltreatment or vulnerable adult incidents, or disqualifying misdemeanors).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous behavioral therapy experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of teaching procedures associated with Verbal Behavior Therapy.
  • General knowledge of typical and special needs clients.
