ABS Kids in Smyrna, TN is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to support children with autism using ABA techniques. You will collect data, provide one-on-one support, and help develop daily living skills in a caring, structured environment.

We welcome individuals from childcare backgrounds; no experience? We'll train you on the job. A strong heart for kids, reliability, and transportation to client homes are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs
• Heart for helping kids and a calm, steady presence
• Reliable transportation for travel to client homes
• Willingness to learn ABA data collection software on the job

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress
• Provide one‑on‑one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social and emotional skills
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly
