Job summary

Intermountain Centers in Arizona is seeking a Behavior Technician I to provide direct behavioral services to clients, following ABA plans and coordinating with BCBAs to implement treatment plans.

You will collect data, run skill acquisition programs, and maintain accurate session notes while ensuring safety and compliance. Valid RBT certification within 90 days is required with a strong commitment to working with children with ASD.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• One year verified experience volunteering or working with children diagnosed with ASD or related disabilities.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required (within 90 days from the start of training).
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Arizona Driver’s License, 39-month MVR and proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance if required.
• Must possess and maintain Level 1 fingerprint clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certification if required.
• Initial current negative TB test result if required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct behavioral services to clients in individual and group sessions.
• Runs skill acquisition programs with clients using Applied Behavior Analysis with reinforcement contingencies.
• Works with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement individualized treatment plans.
• Conducts preference assessments and assists with functional assessment procedures.
• Reports variables that might affect the client (illness, relocation, medication).
• Generates objective session notes describing sessions.
• Implements measurement procedures and permanent product recording.
• Collects data and creates graphs.
• Implements behavior reduction interventions and identifies components of written plans.
• Complies with legal, regulatory and workplace reporting requirements.
• Communicates effectively with members, families, supervisor and stakeholders.
• Maintains professional boundaries and attendance; performs other duties as assigned.
