Job summary

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavior Technicians to provide individualized ABA services in clients' homes in Huntington Park, CA. This role involves working one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing treatment plans, and collecting data under BCBA supervision.

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavior Technicians to provide individualized ABA services. Whether you're experienced in ABA or looking to enter the field, we provide the training and support you need to get started.

As a Behavior Technician, you'll work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), one of the most effective evidence-based therapies available.

No ABA experience? No problem. No prior ABA experience is required! We offer comprehensive paid training, hands-on guidance, and ongoing support from experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help you build your skills and feel confident in your role.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that helps children with autism and other developmental disabilities build important life skills. Through engaging, individualized sessions, Behavior Technicians teach communication, social interaction, daily living, play, and coping skills while helping reduce challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement. The goal is to help each child become more independent, confident, and successful in everyday life.

What You'll Do

As a Behavior Technician, you will:

Typical Sessions:

• 2-5 hours per session
• Children primarily ages 3-17 years
• Afternoon and evening schedules

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Experience working with children is a plus, but not required
• Available a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
• Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions
• Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
• Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques
