Job summary

MedCare Pediatric in Texas is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to work one-on-one with children to build communication, social, and daily living skills through ABA. You’ll follow behavior plans, collect data on tablets, and document daily notes while collaborating with teammates and families.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 1+ year experience with children or exposure to special needs, and completion of a 40-hour training for certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ years of experience with children or exposure to working with children.
• Comfortable working with children or individuals with special needs.
• Experience with children or individuals with special needs (preferred).
• Ability to complete a 40-hour training course to obtain certification.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Maintain a professional, positive attitude and reliability.
• Must pass a background check.
• Provide direct care in one-on-one and group settings, following behavior plans.
• Collect behavior data using company-issued tablets and complete daily session notes.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and parents in staff meetings.
