Job summary

Epic Minds Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician (RBT) to work one-on-one with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, applying ABA techniques. You will collect data, monitor progress, and support goals in various settings.

This role emphasizes patient care, collaboration with BCBA supervision, HIPAA compliant documentation, and ongoing professional development; in-person opportunities are available full-time or part-time.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and records management.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
• Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
• A background in special education or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
• Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings
• Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals
• Assist in patient assessments and intake processes to gather relevant information
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health and special education
• Support clients in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills
