Job summary

Acorn Health in Illinois is seeking Behavior Technicians to deliver high-quality, 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision. Starting pay is $18 per hour with potential increases after certification.

You will work across centers, homes, and schools, collecting data and adjusting plans to support meaningful client progress. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience with children, a valid driver’s license, and a passion for helping families.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience working with children preferred (caregiver, paraprofessional, daycare, etc)
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, teaching, or related field preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Complete training necessary to provide therapy (state requirements may vary)
• Deliver 1:1 direct ABA treatment to clients
• Work with supervising BCBA and team to ensure high-quality service
• Support parent and caregiver training as directed by the BCBA
• Collect data and document client records to monitor progress
• Communicate with parents and supervisors to improve treatment plans
• Provide services in center, home, school, or other locations as indicated
• Schedule may include driving between clients
