Job summary

Acorn Health in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision. The role focuses on enhancing communication, social, and daily living skills for children on the autism spectrum.

You will collect data, collaborate with families, attend training, and work at centers, homes, or school sites, with driving between clients. Competitive starting wage around $18 per hour, with pay increases after certification.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience working with children preferred.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, teaching, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete training to provide therapy (state requirements vary).
• Deliver 1:1 ABA treatment to clients to improve skills and reduce problem behaviors.
• Work closely with supervising BCBA and team to ensure high-quality service.
• Support parent and caregiver training as directed by the BCBA.
• Collect data and document client records to monitor progress and inform treatment decisions.
• Communicate regularly with parents and supervisors to adjust treatment plans.
• Provide services in center, home, school, or other locations as indicated; driving between clients may be required.
• Pay increases after certification is obtained.
