Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to provide in-home ABA therapy to children with autism in the Oceanside, Corona, and Crown Heights areas. You will implement plans under supervision of a BCBA/LBA, collect data, and maintain session notes while collaborating with families and the therapy team.

This role offers after-school hours and weekend availability with a 15–30 hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience with children or related field.
• Familiar with ABA-related roles and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism.
• Implement behavioral plans created by a BCBA/LBA.
• Collect data to monitor client progress.
• Maintain session notes and records.
• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians).
• Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors.

We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress
• Maintain detailed session notes and records
• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians)
• Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors

Job Requirements

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
• Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws

Work Schedule

• Part-time: 15–30 hours per week
• Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
• Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
• Immediate start available in Oceanside 4-7pm
• Immediate start available in Corona 4-7pm
• Immediate start available in Crown Heights 3-9pm
