Job summary

Boston Prep is seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to support students with IEPs through ABA-based services and coordinated behavior plans.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver 1:1 and small group support, develop measurable goals, and monitor progress with data-driven approaches. The role emphasizes inclusive practices and collaboration with families to ensure consistent support across settings.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small group ABA-based services aligned with student IEPs.
• Deliver behavior-related services as mandated by IEPs and maintain progress monitoring data.
• Support students in developing self-regulation, coping, and executive functioning skills.
• Collaborate with staff and families to ensure consistency in support across settings.
• Attend IEP meetings as the designated behavior specialist or related service provider.
• Write measurable, data-driven behavioral goals and objectives for IEPs.
• Monitor and report on students’ progress toward IEP goals using behavioral data.
• Consult with case managers and general educators to ensure behavioral accommodations and services are implemented with fidelity.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and write comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Ensure plans are culturally responsive, legally compliant, and rooted in evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement and update BIPs as needed.
• Design systems for behavioral data collection across settings.
