Job summary

Greystone Programs, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Specialist to advance ABA-informed residential services in Dutchess/Orange County, NY. The role leads teams, develops interventions, and ensures data-driven practice across clinical and residential settings.

You will perform FBAs, write Behavior Support Plans, and apply ABA strategies to reduce restrictive interventions, while coordinating with families and clinical consultants in a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Applied Behavior Analysis with 1 year supervised experience in I/DD settings.
• Demonstrated competency implementing evidence-based ABA interventions.
• Experience conducting FBAs and writing Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Working knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and I/DD best practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinical leader supporting residential teams by coaching staff and developing ABA interventions.
• Conduct ABA-based FBAs and observations in home and community settings.
• Develop and implement individualized Behavior Support Plans grounded in ABA and least-restrictive approaches.
• Apply ABA techniques to reduce challenging behaviors and build adaptive skills.
• Collect, graph, and analyze behavioral data to refine treatment strategies.
• Train and mentor direct support staff on ABA principles.
• Write and review semi-annual/quarterly psychological reviews and assessments.
• Collaborate with families, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure all interventions comply with OPWDD regulations.
• Provide crisis intervention support.
