Job summary

Acorn Health in Michigan is hiring Behavior Technicians to deliver high-quality ABA therapy one-to-one with clients under the supervision of BCBAs. You will help increase skills, decrease challenging behaviors, and document progress to inform treatment decisions.

Role involves collaborating with a diverse team, supporting family training, and delivering services in centers, homes, or schools as clinically indicated. Driving between clients may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience working with children (caregiver, paraprofessional, daycare, etc.)
• Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, teaching or related field preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to pass a background check
• Enjoy working on an interdisciplinary team
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for helping others

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA treatment to increase skills and reduce problem behaviors
• Work with supervising BCBA to ensure high quality service
• Support parent and caregiver training as directed by the BCBA
• Collect data and document progress to guide treatment decisions
• Communicate with parents and supervisors to improve treatment plans
• Provide services in center, home, school, or other locations
• Schedule may include driving between clients
• Complete training necessary to provide therapy (state-specific)
